JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A 35-year-old man suffered burns after in fell into a fire pit Saturday evening in Jefferson Township, according to Jefferson Township Corporal Joe Kratzel.
Shortly after 6:00 p.m., emergency crews received the call and responded to Sun Air Campground, located on Cozy Lake Rd.
The man was airlifted by Atlantic Air to Saint Barnabas Medical Center’s burn unit.
The incident was an accident and his injuries are serious but not life threatening, Kratzel said.
