POHATCONG TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A New York man was charged after he was allegedly found with marijuana and fraudulent credit cards following a traffic stop Tuesday.
Divione Shaw, 28, from the 100 block of Hazelwood Drive in Westbury, NY was charged with multiple counts fraudulent use of credit cards, shoplifting, theft by deception and possession of marijuana.
On October 17, an officer observed suspicious activity in the Walmart, Wawa complex on Route 22, police said.
A motor vehicle stop was conducted and when the officer approached the vehicle he could smell raw marijuana. The officer observed multiple credit cards in the hand of Shaw and in the center console, police said.
A search of the vehicle revealed 15 fraudulent credit cards, a fraudulent Pennsylvania driver license, two bags of marijuana and store merchandise that was purchased with the fraudulent credit cards, police said.
Shaw was released pending a court date of October 18 at the Superior Court of Warren County.
