CHESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A three vehicle crash on Route 206 sent one driver to the hospital Tuesday.
Chester police responded to a multi-vehicle crash with injuries on U.S. Highway 206 just south of Colby Farm Road in Chester Township, police said.
Mary Diviney, 51 of Chester, NJ, was traveling north in a green 2003 Ford Explorer, when her vehicle crossed over the double yellow line and struck the driver’s side rear of a southbound gold 2000 Honda Accord, driven by Diane Durham, 45 of Hopatcong, NJ, police said.
Diviney’s vehicle then struck the front driver’s side corner of a southbound green 1999 Western-Star tandem dump truck, owned by All Terrain Excavating, Inc. of Blairstown, and was driven by David Stroud, 55 of Hope, NJ, police said.
Diviney was transported to Morristown Medical Center by Atlantic Ambulance Service for injuries sustained during the collision. Durham and Stroud refused medical treatment at the scene, police said.
Diviney was charged with careless driving, failure to keep right. She was released pending a court appearance.
