ANDOVER TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – Two Andover Township police officers had an unusual day Tuesday when they tried to catch a furry felon on the loose.

According to a post on the police department’s Facebook page, officers Then and Puccio spent part of the brisk, beautiful morning trying to wrangle an alpaca by Warbasse Junction Road.

“Eventually everyone was back home safely – and chilly. Next time alpaca heavier jacket!.”
