MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A New York man is facing numerous charges after police allegedly find a large amount of cash and multiple baggies of suspected cocaine during a traffic stop early Sunday morning.

Felix M. Borbon, 43, of New York, NY was charged with distribution of a narcotic drug, possession of controlled dangerous substance schedule I-IV, transporting property known to be derived from criminal activity, and possession of paraphernalia.

At 12:50 a.m., Officer Reynolds was on routine patrol when he observed a 2015 Mercedes Benz traveling west on Route 46 with its high beam headlights illuminated. The officer then initiated a motor vehicle stop of the Mercedes in the area of the Budd Lake Fire Department, police said.

Officer Reynolds made contact with the vehicle occupants, and Borbon, who was a rear seat passenger, police said.

Borbon was found to have an active $500.00 Alpine, NJ warrant. He was removed from the vehicle and placed under arrest, police said.

A search of Borbon yielded a large amount of cash in his pocket. He was then transported to police headquarters, where a secondary search yielded multiple baggies of suspected cocaine hidden on his person, police said.

Borbon was lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility pending a court hearing.
