Greenwich Twp. police arrest suspect wanted for burglary

GREENWICH TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – Greenwich Township police said they arrested a Phillipsburg man who was wanted for allegedly breaking into a home earlier this week.

Patrick J. Suits-Surridge, 34, was charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree theft and third-degree attempted burglary.

On Monday at 10:33 a.m., Greenwich Township police responded to a residence on New Village Road for the report of a suspicious male, police said.

Upon further investigation, it was reported that the male burglarized the residence and stole jewelry, police said.

Surveillance video was obtained from the property, which depicted a white male driving a silver Toyota Camry, police said.

An additional call was then received from another nearby residence that entry was attempted into their home, police said.

Suits-Surridge was later found and arrested. He was lodged in the Warren County Correctional Facility, police said.

Greenwich Township police thanked the public, local media, Lopatcong and Pohatcong Township Police Departments, Phillipsburg Police Department, and the Warren County Narcotics Task Force for their assistance in the investigation and quick apprehension.
