Police: Sparta Twp. man had methamphetamine, marijuana

ANDOVER TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – A Sparta Twp. man is facing drug charges after police allegedly find methamphetamine and marijuana during a traffic stop Tuesday morning.

Jarran V Muse, 34, was charged with third-degree possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, possession of controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, failure to maintain lane and driving without headlamps illuminated, police said.

At 1:26 a.m., a township police officer observed Muse operating a 2015 GMC without its headlights on and for failing to maintain a lane of travel. The officer then stopped Muse on Newton-Sparta Road near the First Hope Bank.

During the course of the motor vehicle stop, officers located various controlled dangerous substances, including methamphetamine and marijuana, and paraphernalia, police said.

Muse was taken into custody and transported back to the police department for processing, police said

Additional charges pending completion of investigation, police said.
