KNOWLTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A GoFundMe page has been set up to a help the Falzarano family who lost everything in a house fire Thursday evening.
Firefighters responded to the first-alarm fire on Lime Kiln Road shortly before 5:00 p.m. There were no injuries reported.
According to Jordan Ferrara, her uncle was outside feeding the chickens when he saw the house burst into flames. Her aunt was out Christmas shopping while her cousin, who still lives at home, was at work.
“A painter was inside and saw the tree light up like a match. All the officials said if anyone was upstairs they never would have got out alive,” Ferrara said.
“My Aunt and Uncle have lived in their Blairstown home for 32 years. They brought 4 babies home from the hospital and raised them in this house. They lost everything in a fire 4 days before Christmas,” Ferrara said.
The family is only asking for monetary donations as they are living in a hotel and don’t have the time or space for people to drop off goods. They just need to buy new clothes, dog food, toiletries and food, Ferrara said.
“Big thank you to all the first responders that risked their lives to put this huge fire out,” Ferrara said.
The GoFundMe page with a goal of $2,500 has already raised $2,165 as of Friday morning . To make a donation, click here.
