Stabbing victim walks into Dover police headquarters

DOVER, NJ (Morris County) – Dover police continue to investigate after a stabbing victim walked into police headquarters Thursday morning.

According to Dover Public Safety Director Daniel DeGroot, the 35-year-old Dover resident walked into the police station around 1:00 a.m. reporting he had just been stabbed.

The victim had a small, non-life threatening laceration to his chest and was transported to Morristown Medical Center for treatment, DeGroot said.

The circumstances surrounding this incident are under investigation by the Dover Police Department Detective Bureau, with assistance from the Morris County Sheriff’s Office/Criminal Investigation Section, DeGroot said.
