Local high schools win big in national cheerleading championship

ORLANDO, FL – Cheerleaders from some local Northwest New Jersey high schools traveled to Orlando, Florida this past weekend to compete in the Universal Cheerleaders Association National High School Cheerleading Championship.

Here are the results:

Hackettstown High School cheerleaders took sixth place in Small Varsity Non Tumbling Game Day. This was the first time in history, the HHS Cheerleaders have earned themselves a bid to the national cheerleading championship. 

Warren Hills High School took eighth place in Small Varsity Game Day.

Warren Hills Junior Streaks cheerleaders took second place in the Senior Rec.

Lenape Valley High School took ninth in the Small Varsity Division II and second place in the Medium Varsity Game Day.

North Hunterdon High School took thirteenth place in the Large Varsity Division I.

West Morris Mendham High School took third place in Small Varsity Non Tumbling Game Day.

Hunterdon Central High School cheerleaders took fifth place in the Large Varsity Division I and seventh place in the Large Junior Varsity

The Hunterdon Jr Red Devils took third place in the Senior Rec.
