MANSFIELD TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – Mansfield Township police revived two overdosing victims who were located in the same apartment complex in the span of less than an hour.
On February 11, at 2:34 p.m., police responded to an apartment on the report of a 36-year-old man unconscious and unresponsive due to a possible overdose.
Police officers located the man lying in the bathtub, turning blue and barely breathing. Officers administered two doses of Narcan and the man began breathing on his own several minutes later.
He was transported to the hospital for further treatment. Heroin was found at that location, police said.
Then at 3:31 p.m., police responded to the same complex on the report of a 23-year-old man who had collapsed on the sidewalk. He was unconscious and unresponsive and was barely breathing.
Police officers administered two doses of Narcan several minutes apart and the male began breathing on his own. He was transported to the hospital for further treatment. Heroin was found on his person, police said.
On February 19 at 12:01 a.m., a taxi pulled into the Mansfield Township police headquarters and the driver advised officers there was a man in the backseat who had passed out and was unresponsive.
Officers found a 20-year-old man slumped over in the back seat and pulled him from the vehicle.
Police determined he was suffering from an overdose and they administered two doses of Narcan several minutes apart. He then began to breath on his own. Heroin was found on his person, police said.
He was transported to the hospital for treatment.
