BYRAM TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – A Newton woman was charged after she allegedly stole and forged prescription blanks, police said.
Megan Dower was charged with obtain a controlled dangerous substance by fraud, forgery and possession of stolen property.
On February 19, township police received information regarding a suspect using stolen, forged prescriptions at the ShopRite pharmacy.
During an interview with Dower, she allegedly admitted to stealing prescription blanks from a medical office in Newton, police said.
Dower also allegedly admitted that she would then forge the prescriptions and submit them to various pharmacies in the area, police said.
Dower was released a pending court date.
