Employee body slams coworker in Andover Twp.

ANDOVER TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – A Newton man is facing an assault charge after he allegedly body slams a coworker at a rehab center Tuesday morning.

Thomas P Netzer, 30, was charged with simple assault.

At 10:06 a.m., township police responded to an ambulance request at the Andover Subacute & Rehab Center, located on O’Brien Lane, for a report of a victim who had fallen, police said.

Through a police investigation it was determined that Netzer, who is an employee of the Rehab Center, had body slammed another coworker to the ground causing head and facial injuries, police said.

Police didn’t release why Netzer body slammed the coworker.

Netzer was released pending a future court appearance in Andover Township Joint Municipal Court.
