FLEMINGTON, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A Flemington man was sentenced after he was convicted of burglary and theft.
Travis Smith, 27, was sentenced by the Honorable Angela Borkowski, J.S.C., at the Hunterdon County Courthouse in Flemington on March 16, Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns III said in a press release Friday.
Smith was arrested on July 15, 2017 the New Jersey State Police Perryville Barracks and charged with two counts of third-degree burglary and one count of third-degree theft, after an investigation revealed he unlawfully entered and removed property from a business in Lebanon Township in June of 2017.
According to Prosecutor Kearns, On September 21, 2017, Smith was indicted by a Hunterdon County Grand Jury for two counts of third-degree burglary and one count of third-degree theft. On October 30, 2017, Mr. Smith appeared in Hunterdon County Superior Court and pled guilty to third-degree burglary and third-degree theft.
Smith was sentenced to 3 years in state prison.
