MORRIS COUNTY:
- Denville Township – Denville’s fireworks display will start at 9:15 pm on Monday, July 4th at Gardner Field, Savage Road. Live music will be performed by Street Hassle starting at 7:00 pm. www.denvillenj.org.
- Dover – Dover’s Fireworks Celebration and Concert is Sunday, July 3rd at the Hamilton Field Complex near East Dover Elementary/Dover Middle Schools on McFarlan & Perry Streets. Gates open at 6:00pm with musical entertainment by Tropy Band Orquesta and The Kootz Band. Tickets are available at the gate – $3.00 for Adults, $2.00 for Students Ages 6 through college and $1.00 for Seniors age 65+. Seating available on bleachers or track only. - Lake Hopatcong – The Lake Hopatcong Yacht Club hosts a fireworks celebration on Friday, July 1st at dusk. (Rain date Saturday, July 9th) lhyc.com.
- Morristown – Sunday, July 3rd from 9:30 am- 5 pm – Free admission to Morristown National Historical Park at 30 Washington Place, Morristown including a Revolutionary War Encampment at the Ford Mansion and free lawn concert by the United States Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps from 1 pm to 3 pm. At 6 pm the Central Park of Morris County opens for pre-fireworks picnicking located at 91 Central Avenue off West Hanover Avenue, Morris Plains. At 9:15 pm a Free Fireworks Display sponsored by the Town of Morristown at Central Park of Morris County. On Monday, July 4th from 9:30 am to 5 pm – Free admission to Morristown National Historical Park at 30 Washington Place, Morristown. At 11am, march with Revolutionary War Re-enactors from the Ford Mansion to the Morristown Green. At 12 pm, The annual reading of the Declaration of Independence at the Morristown Green, with costumed re-enactors, music, and musket salute. The rain location is the Presbyterian Church, 57 East Park Place. The event is free to the public. Following the reading, free guided tours will be given of the Colonial-era graveyard behind the Presbyterian Church. townofmorristown.org.
- Florham Park – Florham Park’s celebration starts at 9 a.m. on July 4 with a flag-raising ceremony on Brooklake Road and continues with a parade at 9:30 at Ridgedale Avenue and a picnic at 10:30 at the lawn of borough hall. There will be rides, a petting zoo and music. Fireworks start at 8:15 p.m. Admission $1; fpjuly4th.com.
- Hanover Township – Hanover Township’s celebration, which includes a parade, music and fireworks, begins at 6 p.m. on June 29 Veteran’s Field on North Jefferson Road in Whippany; hanovertownship.com
- Parsippany – Monday, July 4 at Parsippany Hills High School 7 p.m. Information: Parsippany.net.
- Randolph Township – Randolph Township’s Freedom Festival at the County College of Morris runs from 2 to 11 p.m. Thursday, June 30th through Saturday, July 2nd with games, rides and fireworks. Parade Day kicks off at 12 noon on Saturday, July 2nd starts at Dover Chester Road & Randolph Avenue (Mt. Fern Church) and ends at CCM (Center Grove entrance). Led by Grand Marshal Sheriff Ed Rochford, the parade will include pipes and drums, floats, bands, antique cars and horses. Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m. A DJ will be playing music from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The best show in Morris County! $5 donation per car. WARREN COUNTY:
- Allamuchy Township – A spectacular fire works display, music, fun and games at Rutherfurd Hall, 1686 Rt 517, Allamuchy on Saturday, July 2nd with activities beginning at 5pm. There is no fee to enjoy the festivities. Premium parking passes will go on sale soon, or free buses will get you there from select locations. - Blairstown – Blairstown Fourth begins at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 4th at Footbridge Park, with contests, children’s activities, vendors, food and a duck race; blairstownfourth.org. Blairstown’s fireworks will be at 9 p.m. Monday, July 4th at North Warren Regional High School; blairstownrotary.org.
- Washington Borough – Washington’s Independence Day extravaganza “Washington Celebrates America” will be on Monday, July 4th. The day begins will an orange crate derby with the race starting at 8am on Broad Street and Borough park entrance. Set up time is 7:30am. (Rain Date is Saturday, July 9th.) Come out and watch the children race the cars that they built themselves. The parade steps off at 3pm with line up from 2pm. Location is Route 31 and Broad St to Belvidere Ave to Carlton Ave to North Prospect St. (Rain Date is Sunday, July 10th.) The parade will be led by Grand Marshal, Robert (Bob) Detrick. Also, look for The Colonial Musketeers, the Warren Hills Marching Band, the Filipino Heritage Band, The Denville String Band, St. Ann’s Pipe and Drum Band, Mr. Music, JerZgirls, DJ Dave Rupell, community groups, fire trucks and more. Prior to the fireworks, from 6 – 9:30pm, enjoy music provided by dj Doc South along with food and fun at the Warren Hills Middle School on the athletic field. HUNTERDON COUNTY:
- Califon – There will be fireworks at the Califon Fire Company’s carnival on July 6 and 8; califonfire.org.
- Flemington – Flemington-Raritan Parks and Recreation hosts fireworks at 9 p.m. July 3 at Reading Fleming Intermediate School in Flemington. Rain date July 5; flemingtonraritanparks.org.
- Lebanon – Lebanon’s Fourth of July Parade, the oldest in the county, steps off at 10 a.m. on July 4 and moves west along Main Street, down Myrtle and Brunswick avenues. Roads into the borough close at 9 a.m.; lebanonboro4thofjulyparade.com.
SUSSEX COUNTY:
- Augusta – There will be a post-game fireworks show at the Sussex County Miners vs. Ottawa Champions game at Skylands Stadium in Augusta on July 4. Entry at 6 p.m., admission $12 to $17; skylandsstadium.com.
- Franklin Borough – Franklin Borough’s carnival at Franklin Pond will have fireworks at 9 p.m. on July 7 and 9 p.m. on July 10; franklinborough.org.
