New Jersey State Police looking for suspect in 2 recent burglaries

SUSSEX COUNTY, N.J. – New Jersey State Police from the Sussex Station are seeking the public’s assistance with identifying a man who is suspected of committing commercial burglaries in Frankford Township and Branchville Borough.

On Tuesday, July 5 between 12 a.m. and 1 a.m., the suspect burglarized a shed behind the Frankford Car Wash and stole several items, police said.

The suspect then burglarized the American Legion in Branchville Borough causing damage to exterior doors and windows and interior doors and windows. Detectives are investigating whether or not anything was stolen, police said.

The suspect is described as a white man, 6’0”, thin build, wearing a black tee-shirt with a Levis insignia, tan/white shorts, and white sneakers. He was captured by video surveillance driving a black four door Subaru sedan, police said.
