FLEMINGTON, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A Connecticut man was indicted for vehicular homicide in Hunterdon County.
Joe Holmes, 57, of Willimantic, CT was indicted on June 21 by a Hunterdon County Grand Jury for one count of second-degree Vehicular Homicide, according to Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony Kearns.
According to Prosecutor Kearns, “Mr. Holmes was arrested on December 26, 2017, after he was involved in a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 202 and Summer Road in Readington Township. The driver of second vehicle, Wilson A. Sumbana, 57, of South Bound Brook, was killed in the crash. Mr. Holmes was also charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and reckless driving.”
