KNOWLTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – Firefighters had to rescue a person who became trapped in a viaduct over I-80 in Columbia Monday evening, according to a post on the Knowton Twp. Fire and Rescue Company #1 Facebook page.
Shortly before 9:00 p.m. emergency crews responded to the viaduct located over I-80 eastbound near mile marker 3.6.
According to radio reports, a 17-year-old male went on the tracks, down a ladder and into a tunnel.
The person was extricated without injuries.
Blairstown Hose Company #1 assisted in the rescue.
