MANSFIELD TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) – A Hackettstown man was charged after allegedly going door to door looking for his “girlfriend”.
Christopher T. Migliaccio, 42, was charged with two counts of trespass and two counts of resisting arrest.
Mansfield Township police were called to the Kensington development on Wednesday, August 3 at 4:53 p.m. for the report of a suspicious male going door to door asking for a female.
Migliaccio was reported to have gone back to one particular address repeatedly after being told she did not live there and attempted to look around the resident to see inside the house, police said.
An off duty police officer from another jurisdiction followed Migliaccio on foot until patrol arrived. Migliaccio indicated he was looking for his girlfriend but could not provide her address or telephone number. Migliaccio was warned not to return or he would be arrested for trespassing, police said,
Police were then called back to the same area at 7:20 p.m. on the report of Migliaccio being restrained by multiple parties.
Police determined Migliaccio went back to the residence he had been previously warned not to return to and the same off duty officer identified himself and advised the male he was under arrest for trespassing.
Migliaccio resisted his efforts to handcuff him and neighbors assisted him in bringing the male under control until police arrived.
“The female he was looking for was not his girlfriend and she does not live in that area. The female was advised of the incident,” police said.
Migliaccio was unable to post the $750.00 bail and was then transported to the Warren County Jail.
