Pennsylvania man suffers head injury after 1200LB bull gets spooked, police say

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) – A 61-year-old man suffers a head injury after a bull gets spooked while attempting to load it into a trailer.

Town police Department and Rescue Squad members responded on Tuesday, September 6 at 7:50 p.m. to the Hackettstown Livestock Auction Market, located at 225 West Stiger St, for a male with a head injury and unconscious.

Once on scene, the police officers located the male lying on the ground and conscious.

Through a police investigation it was determined that a 61yro male from Bangor, PA was attempting to load a 1200LB bull into a trailer when the bull got spooked and knocked the male into a wood post, police said.

The male received a laceration to his forehead and was transported to Hackettstown Medical Center, where he was then airlifted by Atlantic Air 1 to Morristown Medical Center, police said.

As of Wednesday morning, the victim had been discharged from Morristown Medical Center, police said.
