RNJ News Programs, Sept. 19-22, 2016

“Let’s Talk About It” – Monday, Sept. 19th @ 10:05 a.m.

Rev. Frank Fowler was joined by Mereyem Teke from the Peace Island Institute, discussing “Working Together for Peace.” Peace Island Institute is an organization that aspires to facilitate forums of mutual respect and collaboration, and to promote education, friendship and harmony, and act as an island of peace for all peoples in a society of different ethnic, culture and religious backgrounds.

 

“Inside Centenary” – Tuesday, Sept. 20th @ 10:05 a.m.

During the first portion of the program, RNJ News Anchor Tom O’Halloren spoke with Assistant Professor of Creative Writing Emilia Phillips regarding her involvement in the Dodge Poetry Festival, and an upcoming author visit. In the second half of the program, Tiffany Kushner, Senior Director of Student Engagement, and Erin Snyder, Community Advocate Coordinator at the Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault Crisis Center (DASACC) shared information about the upcoming “Take Back the Night” event.

 

“Newsline” – Thursday, Sept. 22nd @ 10:05 a.m.

In the first portion of the program, WRNJ News Director Joyce Estey learned what it takes to raise an Olympian by speaking with Nicole Orgi, mother of Olympic athlete Katurah Orgi. In the second half of the program, Joyce spoke with two administrators from the Allamuchy School District, Superintendent Joe Flynn, and Laurie Rapisardi, Executive Director of Rutherfurd Hall.
