HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) – Five Warren County men were charged following a drunken melee at a Hackettstown convenience store’s deli counter, police said.
The altercation broke out at 2:21 a.m. on Friday at the Quick Chek, 80 Main St.
When officers arrived, they found four of the five men standing in front of the store and all five men showed signs of intoxication, according to police.
There were food racks knocked over and merchandise strewn about the floor, police said.
The fight allegedly started at the deli counter, but it’s unclear what sparked the altercation, police said.
The following men were charged with disorderly conduct and released pending a court appearance: Andriy Dyakiv, 26, of Independence Township; Sergey Sushkoov, 30, of Hackettstown; Steven Mottola, 23, of Belvidere; Volodymyr Panko, 32, of Mansfield Township; and Kevin Mottola, 25, of Belvidere.
One man did receive facial injuries and refused medical treatment at the scene, police said.
Assisting were the Hackettstown Rescue Squad and Independence Township police.
