LOPATCONG TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A Warren County man is facing charges after he allegedly was cutting down trees on Lopatcong Township property and reselling it as firewood.
Jeffrey A. Burns, 54, of the First Block of North First Street in Lopatcong Township, NJ was charged with theft and defiant trespassing.
Burns allegedly cut the trees and split it into firewood. He would then sell the firewood and make a profit, police said.
Burns was warned several times by township police to stay off of the Township property, police said.
The case is pending in Warren County Superior Court.
