FLEMINGTON, NJ (Hunterdon County) – Two Hunterdon County men have been arrested on narcotic charges, according to Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, Chief of Detectives Frank R. Crisologo, and Station Commander Lieutenant Matthew McCurry of the New Jersey State Police Washington Barracks.
According to Prosecutor Kearns, On July 26, 2018, a joint narcotics investigation involving detectives from the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office’s Narcotics Task Force and the New Jersey State Police Washington Barracks resulted in the arrest of Stephen T. Smith, 28, and Brian M. Borkan, 27, both of Hampton, NJ.
Smith was charged with third-degree distribution of marijuana.
Borkan was charged with two counts of third-degree possession with intent to distribute marijuana, one count of third-degree possession of marijuana, and third-degree of possession with intent to distribute.
Recovered as a result of the investigation was two pounds of marijuana valued at $4,000.00, 100 grams of THC wax valued at $2,500.00, one pound of psilocybin valued at $1,000.00 and one gram of MDMA valued at $150.00, Kearns said.
Both were released pending a court date.
