Disorderly man charged after incident at Hackettstown Medical Center

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – A Morris County man was charged after he allegedly being disorderly at Hackettstown Medical Center Friday evening.

Daniel Dausch, 28, of East Hanover was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated in a school zone, refusal to submit to a breath test, careless driving, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

At around. 8:50 p.m., police responded to Hackettstown Medical Center, located at 651 Willow Grove St, in reference to a disorderly male in the waiting room, police said.

When officers arrived on scene, they made contact with Dausch in the emergency department’s waiting room. The officers advised him to sit down until medical staff could assist him. He became disorderly and refused to comply with the officer’s instructions, police said.

Dausch then left the waiting room and continued to act disorderly outside the hospital, police said.

As the officer was attempting to take Dausch into custody, he turned towards the officer and engaged in a physical altercation. The officers were able to gain compliance of him and was placed into handcuffs, police said.

It was also revealed that Dausch allegedly drove to the hospital while under the influence, police said.

Dausch was release pending a court appearance.
